- Passed or enacted by national or subnational legislative bodies and/or governments (or are currently in the process of being passed or enacted)
- Concerned with climate change mitigation, adaptation, loss and damage and adjacent issues such as disaster risk reduction, biodiversity, or desertification
- Either economy-wide laws/policies (for example 'the Climate Change Act') or sectoral (for example 'Climate-resilient Agricultural Policy')
