  • Noted below is the student leadership agreement for all OMD student organizations:

    ● In order to serve on a student leadership team, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 AND cannot be on chapel, academic, or disciplinary probation. By signing and dating below you are stating that you meet these requirements and give permission to the Registrar’s Office and Student Development to release this information to the Office of Multicultural Development staff for verification purposes.

    ● My primary responsibility is being a student and I am expected to attend classes, chapel, and maintain a 2.5 GPA.

    ● I have taken time to thoroughly read the Wheaton College Community Covenant and the Christ-Centered Diversity Commitment. I will support and completely adhere to these commitments.

    ●  If I am placed on any type of probation, I will inform the OMD Director. I recognize that being on any type of probation during the academic year which I am serving could disqualify me from serving as a student leader.

    ●  I have read the OMD and Student Development Purpose Statements located at http://www2.wheaton.edu/Registrar/catalog/ug_student_life.htm#Student_Development. I will unite to serve within these purposes.

    ●  My commitment to serve as a student leader is for a full academic year.

    ●  There is an importance of maintaining open communication with the OMD Director. If I have areas of concern, I understand that I can obtain encouragement and resources from the OMD Director during my time of service. 

    ● My attendance is required at the OMD Spring Banquet on Saturday, May 3, 2025, 6:00pm to 8:30pm. I will attend this on-campus event.

    ● I commit to attend the IGNITE reception meeting on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 (Phelps, 3:45pm to 5:15pm).

    ● The OMD Student Leadership Training is scheduled for Aug 18 through Aug 23, 2025. I will be attend this required Training. The approved student arrival is Sunday, Aug 17th from 2pm to 5pm. I will attend the OMD Student Leadership Training kick off dinner on Sunday, August 17th, 6pm, Phelps.

                 
    ● If I am a cabinet president, I will establish and attend a monthly meeting with the OMD Director throughout the academic year.  I also understand that I will be required to participate in OMD Presidents’ Forums (Synergy) which will be scheduled once a month throughout the academic year.

    ● To maintain a healthy balance, this specific leadership position within OMD will be my primary co-curricular commitment. If I would like to participate in other leadership positions, I must obtain approval from the OMD Director.

    ● During the academic year there will be monthly OMD IGNITE student leadership meetings. As part of a cabinet, I plan to faithfully attend these monthly Ignite meetings.

    ● Throughout the year, OMD will be hosting various campus events. I understand that I am required to help out with these events.

    I accept the responsibilities noted above and I am fully committed to uphold this standard that has been set before me.

  • Part 4: Agreement

    Please read each section below. If you are fully in agreement with each section please sign the bottom portion.
    1. The Office of Multicultural Development expects the 1-2-1 Program to be the priority extra-curricular commitment for a student. If you would like to participate in other major activities other than 1-2-1, you must request approval from the OMD Associate Director.
    2. If selected for 1-2-1, I understand that my primary focus is to develop relationships and support with incoming students of color. I understand that the noted responsibilities below are required: a. Weekly connect with my assigned students. (Build relationships by meeting for meals, spending time, etc.) b. Attend a weekly meetings with the 1-2-1 cabinet c. Participate in the monthly OMD Ignite leaders’ meeting. d. Attend individualized focus meetings with the OMD Associate Director for encouragement and prayer. (Periodically) e. Provide monthly connection updates with senior mentors.
    3. If selected for 1-2-1, I understand that, I, along with other 1-2-1 leaders, are responsible for planning, implementing, facilitating, and/or attending the following programs which are not optional:a. Special OMD and/or 1-2-1 Activities during Orientation Weekend: TBD b. 1-2-1 Monthly Freshman Sunday Dinner. c. OMD Care Days d. Christmas Banquet & Spring Banquet
    4. If selected for 1-2-1, I also agree to attend and participate in the following mandatory sessions. I understand that the designated gatherings noted below are not optional: a. OMD Spring Banquet: May 1, 2025 from 6:00pm – 8:30pm b. OMD New Student Leaders’ Reception. Wednesday, April 15, 2025 @ 3:45pm – 5:15pm, Phelps. c. OMD Student Leaders’ Ignite Sessions (monthly during the 2025-2026 school year). d. OMD Student Leadership Traininig Kick Off Dinner. Sunday, August 17, 2025 @ 6pm, Phelps. e. OMD Student Leaders’ Training: Aug 18 – Aug 23, 2025 (arrive on campus by Sunday, Aug 17th between 2 pm and 5pm)
    5. If selected for 1-2-1, I will be serving as a student leader of the Office of Multicultural Development. I understand that the 1-2-1 Program operates in a manner that exudes excellence and integrity. As such, I understand: a. The importance of nurturing my personal relationship with Christ and will prioritize this consistently. b. My primary responsibility is being a student and that I am expected to attend classes, chapel, and maintain a 2.5 GPA. c. The Wheaton College Community Covenant and will continue to live by it as a 1-2-1 Student Leader. d. Being on any type of probation may disqualify me from serving as a 1-2-1 Student Leader. e. Abiding by my signed statement of confidentiality. f. My commitment to serve as a 1-2-1 Student Leader is for a full academic year.
