Please use the form below to register to meet with the FAST team and discuss floodplain rebuilding questions and concerns.

What am I allowed to rebuild after the Flood?

If the cost to repair or rebuild the structure meets or exceeds 50% of the building’s pre-storm value (meeting the definition of a “substantially damaged building”), the building must be reconstructed to meet all of the requirements of the North Carolina Family of State Building Codes including those for construction within a flood hazard area per Section 1612 of the State Building Code.

- Historic Resources Committee
- Floodplain Specialists
Others may be invited to attend should your particular project require their respective department's input.

To submit this request, you will need to provide the following information:
- Project Name, Address, and Parcel Number (PIN)
- Brief description of recovery plans
- Questions regarding substantial damage assessments
  - Cost of work estimates
  - Market value estimates
A preliminary site plan is not required but is highly encouraged.
